How do you create great storytelling?
Good storytelling can be easily achieved by following a few simple rules.

Museum Night offers a journey of discovery through the diversity of a city's cultural landscape. Every year, thousands of visitors flock to your museum - including not only familiar faces, but also many who have only heard of your museum or haven't been there for a long time. In other words, a broad audience that you'd like to attract as repeat visitors. To do this, however, you need to create a lasting experience.
Personal stories full of emotion, excitement and character give the institution a unique voice that leaves a lasting impression on the audience. Personal tours are unbeatable, but impossible to scale with several thousand visitors. An audio guide provides the necessary support. It offers visitors an easy entry point and results in a higher satisfaction of the museum experience.

A good audio guide can be created without much effort. Yes, because from our experience, "good" for visitors means a voice with passion, character and expertise. Instead of a sterile recording studio and a flawless recording, it is important to convey liveliness (similar to radio and podcasts).
That is why the Long Night of Zurich Museums decided to accompany the public on its journey of discovery with an audio guide. 21 institutions like the Museum Rietberg and Cabaret Voltaire created 5-10 minutes highlight tours. Through the audio guide, visitors were received with a warm welcome, exciting insights and glimpses behind the scenes - directly from the directors, curators, mediators and artists.
TheLong Night of Museums used Wonnder’s (formerly Audio-Cult) web-based audio guide for this purpose. Museums were able to easily record and upload a tour in just 1–2 hours using a smartphone or computer. Thanks to the built-in AI filter, studio-quality sound can be achieved at the touch of a button, with virtually no difference from a professional recording studio.
Visitors open the audio guide using a QR code. The tours are accessible directly, without needing to install an app. They are preloaded in the background to ensure a seamless visitor experience, even in locations without a stable connection.
The positive effect of an audio guide for the Museum Night is impressive: Several thousands of visitors took advantage of the offer and gained easier access to art, science and history with the barrier-free audio guide. The tours received high ratings with an average of 4.8/5 stars.
From the Museum Rietberg, to the FIFA Museum, to the Archaeological Collection of the University of Zurich, to the Cabaret Voltaire: many of the museums that created a tour at the Long Night of Museums have also chosen Audio-Cult as a long-term partner thanks to its simplicity and accessibility.
